Business Description
i2i Management is a Theatre in Education Agency with Christine Lucas as proprietor, providing performers & presenters that demonstrate world class excellence in their chosen fields, predominantly for primary and secondary schools in NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.
Business History
i2i Management based in Sydney was established in late 2003, with the launch of George Evatt’s ‘BENEATH SOUTHERN SEAS Australia’s Amazing Marine Life’ educational presentation. The program was co-produced with George Evatt providing his exceptional marine life footage and Christine Lucas contributing to the structure and direction of the performance, drawing on her extensive ‘Theatre in Education’ background. The introduction of the program into Australian schools was assisted by attending Science Teachers’ Conferences beginning late 2003 in Victoria, NSW and South Australia.
The initial ‘BENEATH SOUTHERN SEAS Australia’s Amazing Marine Life’ tour enjoyed by students and teachers alike, was held early 2004 covering the Victoria region from Marysville to Melbourne and surrounds. By late 2008 the presentation had been enthusiastically received by over 81,000 K-12 students and is now highly regarded and a part of many schools yearly program. George has visited to date, schools reaching from Coffs Harbour in NSW, heading south around the coast to as far as Ceduna in South Australia and Tasmania.
George’s ‘BENEATH SOUTHERN SEAS Ocean Issues’ presentation was developed in response to an increasing concern for our threatened marine life species and habitats and to support key learning areas linked to Environmental Sustainability for Years 9-12. The content was presented first in late 2008 and feedback assures that it successfully delivers in an engaging format that “discussed important ideas the students should be aware of”.
Marcelle Bernard has performed her highly popular SPEAK EASY programs throughout Australian and NZ schools beginning in 1996, with over 330,000 Year 2-12 students benefiting from her content by 2008. Under i2i Management’s coordination, since 2005 Marcelle toured Ballarat and Bendigo schools for the first time and has done so each year following, due to popular demand. We have also managed tours for her into Tasmania, Adelaide and Northern NSW and continue to do so, ensuring her inspiring content reaches students in these areas
